Lorena Selected as Recipient of OWLS Roberts & Deiz Award!

Wow! What an exciting honor! The Oregon Women Lawyers (OWLS) Association has chosen Lorena as the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Roberts & Deiz Award. This accolade recognizes individuals who advance equity and access to the legal system for women and historically oppressed communities, an effort that defines Lorena’s career.

She has exemplified what a legal career committed to disability rights, LGBTQ+ advocacy, stopping violence against women, and providing access to the legal system, looks like. Lorena has been a champion for justice from the onset of her career, when she began advocating for children and young adults with disabilities. She later specialized in representing survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, as well as LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Since 2004, Lorena has led The Reynolds Law Firm, a firm known in the community for focusing on victims’ rights, and social justice. She is also an adjunct professor at OSU, a sought-after speaker, and an active policy advocate. Beyond her legal work, she serves on numerous boards and committees, shaping the future of equity and justice in Oregon.

Her appellate victories have paved the way for meaningful legal change, including securing rights for non-binary individuals and protecting survivors of domestic violence. Her dedication to transforming the legal profession, providing access to the legal system for maginalized folks, and her community makes her more than deserving of this wonderful award.
