NLG Legal Observer Program

If you would like to learn more about Legal Observing, please message The Reynolds Law Firm, PC. Legal Observers are most often law students, lawyers, or other members of the legal community because these individuals are usually familiar with the laws and can note any violations in legal terms. However, anyone can be an effective legal observer with proper training. Legal Observers are coordinated by groups including the National Lawyers Guild and Civil Liberties Defense Center. We do not have a local chapter of these groups but our firm maintains a list of trained observers and collaborates with coordinators in Eugene and Portland. We can provide information about online training and other resources. Please do not undertaken legal observing without connecting with a coordinator, and if participating in any direct actions during the pandemic, please maintain social distance, wear a mask, and bring hand sanitizer and eye protection.
