"The Christmas lights will keep shining at one of South Florida's biggest and most controversial displays.
Mark and Kathy Hyatt, a Plantation couple whose display draws throngs of spectators to their home each December, have defeated the city of Plantation in court.
The city had sued the couple in hopes of scaling back, or even ending, their display, whose features include more than 200,000 lights, a movie screen, snow, a 30-foot-tall tree and even a Ferris wheel for stuffed animals.
But in an order signed Thursday, Broward Circuit Court Marina Garcia-Wood ruled the city failed to prove the attraction creates a public nuisance."
