This week we celebrate 30 years since the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Prompted by protests and radical action, the signing of the ADA has had immense impacts in the US. Title III of the ADA requires public facilities to open access to verbal information on television displays, films, or slide shows. The ADA also requires that the nationwide system of telephone relay services for the deaf and hard of hearing be equivalent to standard telephones.
