The Supreme Court Is Set to Hear Arguments in These Civil Rights Cases

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted unanimously on yesterday to advance the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court over a boycott from the committee’s Democrats. The vote paves the way for the full Senate to confirm Barrett to the high court on Monday, ahead of the Nov. 3 election. The five civil rights cases discussed in this article will, like others, move forward whether or not Barrett is confirmed.
