Samantha graduated magna cum laude from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2019 with a BA in criminal justice and a minor in communications. She later attended the University of Oregon School of Law and graduated in 2024.

During her first year in law school, Samantha received the Excellence in Written Advocacy award for the legal brief she wrote for her Legal Research and Writing class. Samantha continued to work with her Legal Research and Writing professor throughout law school as both a research assistant and a tutor. She gained further experience during her internship in Texas at The Strong Firm, P.C. where she participated in meetings with clients and drafted commercial leases. Her proudest achievement during law school was contributing to the creation of a new law school journal, Advancing Discourses on Inequity in Society, which aimed to amplify and celebrate marginalized voices. Samantha served as a staff editor on the Journal’s first edition.

At TRLF, Samantha works in the areas of dissolution of marriage, child custody, parenting plans, and protective orders. She understands the trauma that often derives from the breakdown of relationships, and she strives to support clients navigating the legal process while experiencing these life transitions.

When she is not working, Samantha loves to spend time with her partner, Brooklyn, and her cat, Poncho. She enjoys reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, making jewelry, and scrapbooking.
